GOOD DAY LADIES!
It's been a long time i haven't made a new blog. Today, i decided to make another nail salon experience. A Gel Manicure, Pedicure with Foot Spa Experience!
I am so happy that there's a Nail Salon i can easily go to without having the trouble of being stuck in traffic.
Southwood's Mall already opened last August or September i think? as far as i remember there were only few Stalls and Boutiques Available back then but now there are tons of Beauty Salons to choose from now! Though there also a lot of Food Choices in the mall.
Alright, let's quit that part for now, let's move on to my Experience at Nail-A-Holics! If you want to watch my video via YouTube, watch the full video below , although there are a lot of flaws since it's my first time recording a Vlog, but i hope you like it even if it's a bit long.
*** (not yet uploaded)
This is the outside of Nail-A-Holics in Southwood's Mall at 3rd Level in front of Lay Bare Waxing Salon. As soon as i entered the salon, gladly it is not fully packed.
I didn't wait longer and the manicurists assisted me, though they already know me since, i am already a regular customer and i rushed to have my nails done too when they just recently opened.
This review is not bias because before i made this review i make sure i am really satisfied with their services, though i am also one of their unsatisfied customers from the other branch which i find to lessen my visit at Nail-A-Holics. So if you're a mad customer or a hater of Nail-A-Holics.
I hope this review can make your mind clear about the said salon and give them a chance. It's not the worst salon after all. This would be one of my faves from now on!
I just don't get it, i searched other reviews of Nail-A-Holics and most of the reviews i read are bit offending and users who use foul words also they compare Nail-A-Holics to other cheap Nail Salons.
One user says that *** salon is better than Nail-A-Holics without using the literal name of salon but she gave a hint using *ALCOHOLICS* it pretty obvious already right??
Nail-A-Holics is a Summer Themed Nail salon preferably beach type. Right when you enter the salon you will not smell the strong scent of nail treatments since they have an air humidifier inside the premise, unlike other nail salons. Honestly i don't like nail salons that has strong scent of nail treatments inside, it gave's me headache, a very bad one.
This is my nails before it was removed. It was covered a plain polish since my niece tried to cover the grown nails 😂😂.
This is my feet before foot spa and pedicure.
Moving on, i was assisted to seat on available seats of theirs, again, it's not fully-packed.
Ate Danica (the manicurist one who always get my nails done and pretty) already put a cotton ball with acetone on my Gel Nails and wrap it with foil. After 10 mins, she started cleaning my nails.
Her hands is very light which i really really like the most because i can take a nap while she's cleaning my nails.
After soaking my feet and scrubing my feet and sole, Ate jane (the one who did my pedicure and footspa) already put the Marine Algae which is the color greenish in the photo. It is a footspa treatment that helps to detoxify your foot which also has tea tree extract and lemon grass oils.
After that, she started my pedicure while the Algae is still on my legs. Honestly, i feel so refreshed.
After pedicure, she removed the Algae with a wet warm towel and proceed to massage my foot which took approx. 10 mins. Haaay ansarap magmassage ni Ate Jane & also Ate Danica! you can also ask them if you want to have hard or light massage if your feet is a little sore from walking or standing pero ako i prefer hard massage because it relaxes me more.
The Base Coat and Nail Primer is applied to keep the nails preventing from cracking and chipped and of course for fast drying effect. I guess so?
HAHAHA! If you're wondering with the scent quit that part alright? HAHAHA i'm telling you! Already tried that but i failed hahaha! That's the time when i first heard Gel Polish, i was curious back then that i smelled the Base coat and Primer when obviously it smelled very awful because of its chemicals it has, i mean it i'm such a noob. 😂😂😂
This is the LED light Gel Nail Dryer, it's where the magic begin, the magic light that helps your nail to dry faster! 😂 Yup It's a little warm when you put your hand inside but it will not burn your skin and have any irritations because of heat so no need to worry for that.
I chose "Never A Dulles Moment" shade of O.P.I which has is like Pastel Yellow for my feet, while for my hands i chose their Orly Gel Polish in Shades "Mirror Mirror" and "Tiara" for my nail accents. 💙
Anyway, let's now talk about the PROS & CONS of my Experience at Nail-a-holics. Listed below is all based on my experience. No bias and No Paid Ads. are going and also No Hate about them it is purely True.
PROS.
⇨ Staff of Nail-A-Holics at Southwoods Mall Branch are very friendly and accommodating. They don't chitchat often in front of the client while working on your nails.
⇨ They value their regular customers as well as their new customers.
⇨ They help their clients to take time choosing a service, although of course they usually upsell, but not the usual type of insisting the client too much .
⇨ They have a relaxing ambiance inside the salon.
⇨ The salon does not have the strong scent of Nail Treatments since they use an Air Humidifier.
⇨ The area is very accessible from our home.
⇨ They already know my type of service and keep me satisfied until the end of my chosen service.
⇨ I love how they perfectly apply polish on my nails. Last time i avail a regular pedicure from them with a premium polish and it looks so satisfying that it end looking like a gel polish already.
⇨ You can come back to them if you accidentally chipped your Gel Nail Manicure for 3 days. 3 days is already enough to redo that pretty nails of yours don't be so greedy, girl!
⇨ Manicurists are very skilled. ( Wag mo sisihin sa company or sa salon ang sira mong kuko sa manicurist mo sisihin girl but ask nicely and if ever you complain wag painitin ulo pramis it's bad for your beauty!)
⇨ They have very comfy seats!! (pwede mag feel at home besh! at umidlip saglit!)
CONS.
⇨ I know you will agree to this, they have a bit pricey of services. They charge Php 50.00 if you chose a premium polish, at first when i was a student i find it very expensive but when i learned that it was part of their Marketing Strategy in our Marketing Class way back college i think i can't argue anymore because it's also a great deal.
Other salons do this marketing startegy too, no offense. (Kaya wag ka magtaka, it's part of their marketing strategy para profitable yung nail salon" We had a salon business before and we also use that kind of strategy.
⇨ Some of the staff doesn't know of the prices of haven't memorized yet, since some of them are newly hired, but their labor to a client is good naman.
⇨ Available seats is only few for like 10 or 12 clients only.
⇨ They lack on Manpower. Given on the case that It is a newly opened branch, they only have 5 manicurists available. It leads to accommodate less clients depending on the nail service they choose.
Alright, i think i'm finished sharing to you my PROS&CONS i hope you liked this review/experience with them and if ever you were a hater/basher/a customer who had negative service with them, try them again and give them a chance.
I suggest that you should ask the front desk which kind of service you prefer and who's manicurist you feel better. You can give her some hints where is the part on your nails that you feel pain.
The question is? Will i go back and recommend AGAIN this Nail Salon? OF COURSE!!
5 THUMBS UP FOR THEM!! 👍👍👍👍👍
