DISNEY X COLOURPOP'S FROZEN 2 COLLECTION - ELSA COLLECTION

Tuesday, February 11, 2020

Colourpop had been releasing a lot of Disney Collabs lately and I am a HUGE FAN of it! Just when Frozen 2 was released on the 20th of November 2019, Colourpop did also released a Frozen 2 inspired makeup line for those fanatics out there who loved Elsa & Anna. The makeup line has 2 kinds the first one would be Elsa Collection and the other one is the Anna Collection. Soon as I heard the news, I hurriedly placed an order online and yes I had to wait for a month before this baby got home.

I chose the Elsa Collection first instead. If ever I had a budget again I will definitely purchase the Anna Collection, but for now let me show you the Elsa Collection first. From the looks of it, you can already see how stunning the box was. What's more if we looked the inside of this collection! Gurrrrl! I CAN'T!!!

It has a ribbon on the center and not only that but the box has also magnets on it, so it would be safe to open and close the box. Prints on the box were all embossed and luckily I received my order safe and sound with no damages at all. It is very eye-catching and very sparkly! Both collection includes an Eye Palette, a piece of Lip Gloss, a piece of Matte Lipstick and Glitter Pots.

Both Eye-Shadow Palettes includes 9 shades, and obviously since this is Elsa's Collection, you should expect the shades would match Elsa's Perfect Ice Queen aesthetic. Just by looking at this palette, it already feels cold hahaha! The eyeshadow includes glittery whites, sparkling silvers and of course don't forget the matte mauve shades! Literally an Ice Queen!

The shades are really undeniably stunning and still perfect to use on a casual or everyday basis. Even pigments are still lit and didn't fail to amaze me! The eyeshadow are from pressed pigments tho, (if you didn't know, most of their Eye-Shadows were made of pressed pigments/powders too) that's why they are more velvety when applied and adheres easily unto the lids.

This is my swatches of Elsa's Eye-Shadow Palette on my skin tone, shades has a slight color difference since the photo was already brighten up, but still very similar on the actual color of eye-shadows. Notice how sparkling Elsa's eyeshadow palette was.

I also inserted the swatches of the palette from colourpops website depending on what skintone you have. It looks so nice and almost complements to all skin tone. So far, I haven't tried the palette yet and still deciding what looks I will do by the time I do a makeup video on my youtube channel. I will surely do different kinds of styles using the whole shades of the palette and gladly share to you guys!

Moving on, both collection includes each Luxe Matte Lipsticks which I have already said earlier. The shade namesake of Elsa's product is Pink Raspberry or also known as 'Little Snow' shade. Colourpop's lipstick is long wearing so there's no need to worry on that case because the formula is still the same. Non-drying and glides smoothly unto lips which keeps our lips still hydrated.

Next product would be the Lip Gloss which is described as an opal color with "multidimensional flecks" according to colourpop. When I swatched the lip gloss, it does looks like it has snowflakes when applied unto lips. It is so cute! Gosh! It has a tiny brush applicator which is perfect, so that you can apply the product perfectly unto lips. Plus if you have the sexy thick lips it would look good on you too and wouldn't have problems applying the product!

This lip gloss looks so sparkly! I already imagine how stunning it looks like if applied to my lips ~ Honestly, the lip gloss doesn't feel sticky at all unlike those lip gloss that sticks in between of your lips and creates tiny particles on lips. It also smells good and gives my lips a plump effect, can you imagine? BTW! the lip gloss namesake was 'Mythic Journey'.

Now let's move on to our last product for our collection, which is their Glitter Gel Pot 'The Dark Sea'. Honestly, It's my first time having a glitter gel from colourpop so I expected that the gel would have flattering scent, but I was too naive 🤦 I didn't expect that glitter gel doesn't have scents and it smell just like a literally glitter gel more like a glitter glue from the craft store haha funny me.

The Glitter gel really does have an intense sparkles and you can notice it on first sight. The glitter gel are perfectly safe to use when applying on to lids and you won't be needing a glitter glue because it already have an adhesive gel formula so hassle free girl!

If you're worrying about the compartment of the product, don't worry because It does have a another lid aside from the cover itself. Shade has purples and neutrals more like a winter aesthetic.
